LVL Framing Lumber

Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) is an engineered wood product made by bonding thin wood veneers together with moisture-resistant adhesives under heat and pressure. This process creates a beam or plank with uniform strength, minimal natural defects, and excellent dimensional stability.

Fuqing’s  Structural LVL (E10–E16) is manufactured to high performance standards and is suitable for LVL timber frame construction. Higher grades such as E13–E15 are ideal for long-span applications, resisting bending, twisting, and warping even in challenging environments.


Typical LVL framing uses include:

  • Studs and posts in timber frames

  • Headers, lintels, and load-bearing beams

  • Rim boards and floor joist framing


LVL Beam Framing

When framing requires longer spans or heavier load capacity, LVL beam framing is the preferred solution. Fuqing’s structural LVL beams are engineered to deliver consistent modulus of elasticity and modulus of rupture, ensuring predictable performance in roof framing, floor support systems and some large open-plan building layouts.

These beams are available in multiple thicknesses, widths, and lengths, allowing architects and builders to customize framing designs without splicing or compromising structural integrity.


Plywood for Framing Walls

While LVL provides the main structural skeleton, structural plywood acts as the sheathing and bracing element. Fuqing’s F8 and F11 structural plywood grades are manufactured for high shear strength, making them ideal for plywood for framing walls in both load-bearing and non-load-bearing configurations.
